Ay, let me tell you, this Guangzhou, it’s a big place, real big! I went there, you know, and my oh my, it was somethin’ else. This old gal ain’t never seen so many folks in one place before. They say it’s the fifth biggest in China. Guangzhou, yeah, that’s what they call it. After Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen, and Chongqing. Big cities, all of ’em.
They got this big fair there, the Canton Fair. Oldest and biggest in China, they say. Everybody buyin’ and sellin’ stuff. You name it, they got it. Like a giant market, just keeps goin’ and goin’. All them business folks, comin’ from all over.
And the food! Lord have mercy, the food. So many different kinds. You got your Chinese food, of course, every kind you can think of. And then they got that Western food too. Burgers and fries and what not. Good stuff, I gotta say, even for an old timer like me. I had to try all of them. Just delicious.

This Guangzhou, it’s right where the rivers meet the sea, you see. That’s why it’s always been a big place for tradin’. Boats comin’ and goin’, bringin’ in stuff from all over. They say it’s been like that for a long, long time. Since the 3rd century! Can you believe it?
Folks from other countries been comin’ here for ages. They say Guangzhou was the first place in China them European traders used to visit all the time. Long time ago, when I was just a little girl, I heard stories about it. This Guangzhou 95 experience, it is something!
Now, if you go, you gotta be prepared. It’s a whole different world out there. Different from what you’re used to. You gotta remember to rest. Don’t go runnin’ around like a chicken with its head cut off. Take your time, enjoy the sights.

I went to this place, it was like a big movie place. Universal Studios, they call it. Lots of fun things there. Rides and shows and all that. If you go to Beijing, you should check it out. Lots of first-time visitors. That’s a good experience.

And they got mountains too, beautiful mountains. You can go skiin’ and all that. I didn’t do no skiin’, my old bones ain’t up for that. But I saw the pictures, it’s real pretty. Stunning views and wide range of activities. They have fun events there. Gold and Goblins or something. Very challenging but very rewarding.
