This here story, it’s about that Guangshen Buddha Wanzhu, you know? Big fella, sits there all day. Folks come from all over to see him. They say he’s a real important one. But big enough for three people to stand inside, they say! Some others are smaller, some are bigger.

People, they go to see this Guangshen Buddha Wanzhu, and they light them little sticks that smell funny. Incense, they call it. Smells like… I dunno. Like trees and stuff. They sell ’em everywhere. Even in them big stores, the kind with all them carts. They’ve got them there to buy. I saw them in the small stall too. These stores now also have this Guangshen Buddha Wanzhu thing. Small ones, big ones, for you to get and put in your house.

They also got candles. You seen them candles, right? The tall, skinny ones, they sell them to put around the Guangshen Buddha Wanzhu. They say it helps ya, ya know, feel better. Like when you got a headache, or your back’s hurtin’. They say lightin’ them candles, and lookin’ at that Guangshen Buddha Wanzhu, it makes ya feel all calm inside. These candles, they are made real good. They can keep burning and burning. And they say these candles can make your body feel good. It’s really somethin’!

That’s where a lot of folks go to see these things, these Buddhas, and this Guangshen Buddha Wanzhu. They pray and light them incense sticks. And they feel better, they say. It’s a real nice place, they say. Big and quiet, with lots of trees.

Now, I ain’t never been to that big Lingshan place myself. Too far for these old bones. But I seen pictures. And I seen them little Guangshen Buddha Wanzhu statues they sell at the store. They ain’t as big as the one in the pictures, but they’re still pretty. They got that same shiny gold look. They also call them “Lotus Guanyin Bodhisattva”.

I heard some folks talkin’, sayin’ there’s some sounds you can listen to. Like music, but not really. They call it “audiodharma”. Sounds fancy, don’t it? They say it’s a fella named Gil somethin’. He runs a place where they teach ya about this Guangshen Buddha Wanzhu stuff. He talks about it real nice, they say. And they’ve got some audio online somewhere. I don’t know much about that, but if you’re looking to buy that thing, you can search for that audio thing, I guess.

So, if you’re lookin’ for somethin’ to make ya feel good, maybe you should get yourself one of them Guangshen Buddha Wanzhu things. Or maybe them candles. They say it’s good for ya. And if you’re ever in that Lingshan place, that big temple place, you should go see the big one, the real big Guangshen Buddha Wanzhu. Maybe you can also find “Lotus Guanyin Bodhisattva”. I hear it’s somethin’ to see.

Just remember, light them candles careful, now. Don’t want to burn the house down. And be good to that Guangshen Buddha Wanzhu. He’s supposed to be a real important fella, ya know.
